The main objective of the event is the practical implementation of the pipeline required for automated/autonomous driving functions with the test vehicle. This includes recording the environment, processing the recorded sensor data, planning driving maneuvers and the final execution of the maneuver by the vehicle's actuators. Based on current research questions, students are given a specific driving task, such as the implementation of an evasive maneuver. The students work on the task in groups of four, divided into work packages based on the phases of a research project.
